Fo- Toes...

Once a year at Christmas time I go to Sears or JcPennys to get the kids pictures done for our Christmas cards. I spend a small fortune but it's really nice to have a good photo done of the kids, they will only be little once....

Black Friday

Black Friday... it really was black out when I left the house at 5:15am this morning. I headed out to Target for a few select items. I didn't realize the store would not open for another 30 minutes after I arrived. I sat in the warm car rather then get in the long, long line of people. I didn't need anything that bad to wait out in the cold.

A fight did break out when the doors opened. It provided a bit of entertainment between the people who had waited since 3am to be first in the store and those who rushed the line. There was a lot of pushing and yelling at the people trying to bud in line Verses a "good guy" who was trying to keep it fair for those who actually waited. It was a bit ridiculous seeing this craziness over a few dollars savings. I think next year.... I'll stay at home and wait until the crazies are gone!!

At least I've made a very small dent in my holiday shopping this "Black Friday"....

The kids found this huge icicle in the back yard today. They hauled it up on the deck then broke it into a million pieces.

The turkey is dressed and ready to roast in the oven all day long......

Pumpkin, sweet potato and pecan pies

Cranberries

Fresh Fennel

Fresh Carrots

There is a lot of preparation that goes into making the turkey meal. It started early in the morning and last all day until we finally sit down to eat late at night. The feast goes quickly until we are all stuffed to our eye balls.
