Fuzzy Stuff

It's done!! The most difficult fuzzy yard to use for me. I finished it all in one day. I think it's my best scarf yet!! I barely had enough yard to finish this one but some how had just enough. I really like doing the long stitches instead of doing the short across stitches.
I'm trying a more difficult yard this time around. It's really soft and fuzzy, a big challenge for me!! I even got a thicker crochet hook to try out and will do a long stitch scarf this time around. Celina informed me that the first scarf yarn is too scratchy and will itch her. So, this new one is for her. I already have a good start and will take a photo tomorrow to add to this page.

Goat Hill

This is Logan's Preschool. It's at Goat Hill Park in Eagan. He starts the 2nd week in September and will attend M-Th in the mornings. He is very excited to go back to preschool.
We ate a picnic lunch of McDonald's at the park.
The kids checked out the new playground at Logan's school and meet another boy.

Logan racing down the slide.

Climbing up the rock wall. This is easy!!!

Still going up!!

Seeing Red

Logan's scarf is done! A happy little boy!! He asked me when he can learn how to "sew". So cute!!
Another scarf in RED... This one's for Logan. I still have a bit more to finish... Celina's twin friends both want a scarf one in blue and the other in pink. How cute!! After these other 2 scarves, I plan to move on to a bigger project... a whole blanket (afghan).

Red Pine Playground

I took the kids along with friends to Red Pine Elementary Schools playground. before school starts in 2 weeks. The kids were all happy to play and have it all to themselves.

Save The Turtle

The kids found this huge snapping turtle right in the middle of the street. We could hear the garbage truck coming and thought it would run it over. Karen ran to get a shovel and broom to see if we could scoop it up and take it to the pond in the back of her house.
The garbage man came and helped us save the snapping turtle. Guess he likes doing this kind of save the animals. He grew up on a farm and has helped many turtles find their way home.

Releasing the turtle...back into the pond. There he goes...

Good bye..

Logan's hamster, (named cat or ?, the name kept changing) died a few days ago. We found a nice place in the way back yard to bury him.

Bye little guy.... Logan will miss you....
