Bill, a volunteer at the food shelf showed us around and gave the girls a tour. There are over 70 volunteers at the food shelf. It's only open 1 day a week on Tuesdays. Families that come to the food shelf are interviewed and asked what kind of food they eat. The volunteers then bag up the food, toiletries for the families. 
We donated 53 pounds of food.
The food shelf likes money donations. They can buy food for much cheaper then we can in the stores. In addition to food they also collect Toys for Tots.
The girls should be proud of themselves for helping needy families. We all have so much, it's good to give back to those that aren't as fortunate.
