Airport & Fort Snelling

Celina and Papa looking out the window watching the planes at the airport take off and land. Logan sleeping again, he's always misses out when we watch the planes.

Minneapolis Airport, Watching the planes land in the rain.

Here's another one that just landed.

Airport in the distance...

We didn't pick the best night to go watch planes. The wind was blowing from the other direction so the planes were landing mostly on the run way we couldn't see. Then the rain came down in buckets. Celina set off the horn while she climbed over the seat. She had the guy in the next car laughing and at least enjoying our entertainment.

Our drive by the Fort Snelling Cemetery. Hi Dad!!The Locked gates of Fort Snelling.

We had plans to vist my father at Fort Snelling tonight. We got there at 8pm thinking the gates would still be open. I took this photo on our drive by. We'll be back tomorrow night to visit Dad.

Back Yard Blooms

Here's an update on my back yard flowers. They opened up yesterday. They smell so great. Just wish there weren't so many ants all over them. I'd love to bring them inside but we'd be bringing ants in too.

Baby Birds

A Robin on her nest under our deck
I can't believe the Robin sat on her nest while I was only feet away taking photos.

Swallow nest above our front door. The swallows are out looking for food.
We've been keeping an eye on our Robin nest under our deck. We can see inside the bird nest by looking through the deck planks. First there was one egg, the next day 2 and so on until there were 4 baby blue robin eggs. Slowly one by one the eggs hatched last week and out came some ugly looking baby birds. They are all pretty much feather-less but have a few white fluffy stray feathers on parts of their bodies. It's neat to watch them snuggle up to each other while they strain their necks and heads to look up for food. I'll be keeping everyone posted on our baby bird news as they grow.

We now have a swallow nest above our front door. They worked hard over the holiday weekend to make a mud nest that attaches to the stucco on the house. I'm sure they are busy laying eggs. It's not the best place for a nest so I'm hoping they won't dive bomb us once the babies are born.
